Note Ladder
Note Ladder is an interactive piano note-reading trainer that helps beginners learn to read sheet music and find every note on the keyboard. It pairs a music staff with a full 88-key piano, so you can see how each line and space on the treble and bass clef matches a key.
Explore: move a note up and down the staff and see its key and name. Learn: step-by-step piano lessons from beginner to intermediate: the keyboard, note names, hand position, ledger lines, rhythm, sharps and flats, scales, key signatures, intervals, chords and I–IV–V progressions. Quiz: test your note reading by finding the note shown on the keyboard. Try: practice songs one step at a time with color-coded keys for each hand, Play and Loop, and adjustable speed.
It works in your browser on desktop, tablet and phone. Connect a digital piano or MIDI keyboard over USB to play along on real keys, and open your own MIDI files to practice any piece.
